The Garth House opened in June, 1991. It provides an environment which reflects the physical and emotional atmosphere of a home, rather than that of clinic or an institution. Children who may have been sexually or physically abused are referred to the Garth House by law enforcement and Child Protective Services. We have interviewed over 7,500 alleged victims over the past years. The investigative agencies work as a team. The Garth House provides counseling for our young victims and their non-offending family members.

Garth House currently serves Southeast Texas with locations in Beaumont, Kirbyville, Orange and Woodville.

Dwell with Dignity is a non-profit group of Interior Designers and volunteers dedicated to creating soothing, inspiring homes for families struggling with homelessness and poverty. Dwell with Dignity provide and install home interiors for families that include furnishings and art, bedding and kitchen supplies, and food in the pantry. Dwell with Dignity believes we can change a person’s surroundings, we can change their outlook on life. Exposing children (especially) to a nurturing home environment, that includes good design and art, can inspire a standard of living that will carry-over to future generations.

Exposing parents to this same environment will allow them to see the positive impact it has on their family; inspiring them to maintain a standard of living they can be proud of and thrive in.  Their mission is to help families escape poverty and homelessness through design. One household at a time.

Charity: Reconciliation Outreach

“…God has given us the task of reconciling people back to Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:18)

We desire to see restoration in people’s lives by the powerful truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Reconciliation Outreach splits into four main facets: children, teens, adults and affordable housing.

1. We invest in the character and potential of children by providing faith-based after school and summer programs. These programs are educationally focused and are led with hearts of compassion.

2. For our youth, we conduct a weekly outreach at our youth center and provide them with good leadership in a fun and safe environment. At this age, we are aware that their emotional, mental and spiritual scales can range with intensity, so we to try our best to meet the teenagers where they are at.

3. We restore hope with adults. With our one year residential discipleship program, we provide a safe place for addicts and the formerly incarcerated to get healed and made whole. Along with this, we provide opportunities to gain a GED, computer- skills training and job- training/ experience (see RO Industries). To help uphold our heart and vision, we have thousands of volunteers invest their time as well. We are thankful for those who have sought, and continue to seek, building relationships through mentoring, teaching and serving.

4. We provide affordable housing as a temporary safe apartment, graduates and others can enjoy, learn and get involved with Christian community in the Inner City of East Dallas. Reconciliation Outreach filters out poverty with love, skills and a shift in perspective based on the Kingdom.
